Welcome to Lone Star Pride Dobermans.

This is a small kennel with a BIG goal.  I strive to produce dobermans both sound in mind and structure.  Health is my main focus but maintaining the Doberman standard is also important to me.  I am working hard to produce puppies that have the proper conformation with the drive needed to also excel in a working sport.

I have a little bit of everything here at Lone Star Pride Dobermans.  I have full American, full European, and American/European mixes.  I am working towards both work titles and conformation titles with our dogs.

All puppies are raised in my home with my son and I.  My son, Maverick, is involved in the whole process from the day they are born to the day that they leave for their new homes.  My puppies are introduced to many different stimuli and situations to help them be prepared for anything that is thrown at them.

I strive to produce the most well rounded puppies that I can and place each puppy according to its nature in their future homes.

Here at Lone Star Pride Dobermans, I health test all our Dobermans through the Doberman Diversity Project.  Testing through DDP allows me to not only test for many genetic diseases that plaque the breed but also gives me the ability to look at diversity that each dog brings to the table.

Yearly 24 hr Cardio holter testing starts at 12 months of age and continues for the life of my dogs.  Once my breeding animals reach 5 years old, I start doing 24 hr Cardio holter testing twice a year.  At 5 years old, I also do echos and ProBnP yearly for the life of my dogs.

Heart health is very important in a breed that has a 50-60% chance of developing Dilated Cardiomyopathy.

At 2 years old, my breeding animals get their OFA Hips and Elbows certified.  I also OFA certify dentition, thyroid, eyes, and hearing (when available at a health clinic).  As I test my dogs, their OFA results will be available on the OFA website.
